Do Flowers on Valentine’s Day Have to Be Roses?
Roses have become shorthand for Valentine’s, but they’re not the only language flowers speak.
Traditionally, roses signal romance clearly and immediately. That’s why they’re powerful. But clarity isn’t always the goal.
We’ve noticed that people choosing alternatives often aren’t avoiding romance. They’re expressing it differently. Through texture, longevity, colour or design rather than symbolism alone.
In many cases, non-rose bouquets feel more personal. More reflective of the relationship rather than the date on the calendar.
Roses are one way to say “I love you”.
They’re not the only way.
